10:04 pm thank you everyone for the bday wishes <3 i'm starting a new decade and here's hoping it's much better than the last one!! ^^; yesterday the parental units arrived and i made them take me to the winchester house because i've never been and i thought everyone would enjoy it. shame it was one of the hottest days we've had so far! but we still had fun ^^ then we went to the nearby mall to eat and rest in the ac <3 after that we came home, they got a hotel room and freshened up while i picked up skrit and we all went to the melting pot for dinner <3 zomg i ate soooooooooo much >.o but it was sooooooooooo good :d also! my mom managed to really surprise me for my gift, they got me a wii!!!!! (srsly she almost never manages to surprise me) i'm so excited. i hooked it up this afternoon to play the sports. i suck at all of them except boxing ^^; it lets my inner aggression out >3 today i got up early to have breakfast with the parental units before they had to go on their way for the next leg of the trip. they're taking a long driving trip up to canada. none of us ate much thought since we had so much for diner! said good bye to them and went back to bed. it was too early to get up, but that threw off my whole day and made me extra sleepy. so i mostly napped, played farm town (evil game~) and watched a bit of anime today. a quite bday before having to go back to the hell hole at work -_-; the past few weeks have really sucked but i don't feel like talking about it now. all in all a fun weekend with lots of tasty foods :d ooh and skrit got me a *lovely* art book which i need to look at thuroughly when i'm not bleary eyed. also the hammus got me adorable tiny plate sets <3 Current Mood: sleepy Tags: adventures 09, bday

08:57 pm yesterday i drove down to monterey to go whale watching~! it was a nice day and the trip was about 3 and half hours. at first we didn't see much, though we did see risso's dolphins that i've never seen before <3 we saw two hump back whales but they only came up to breathe a few times and then went away. i was glad we saw that but was hoping to see more. then on the way back the captain spotted some whales and even though they could have said oh well and took us back we detoured to go see them (the tour guide lady was so excited!) it turned out there was a blue whale which haven't been seen too much lately! it was estimated at 70 feet long o.o then as we tried to near it we found some more energetic hump backs that decided to come near us! <3 we even got to see a tail! (pic below) and as we were docking we got to see a sea otter eating its dinner <3 though i had sunscreen, shades, a hat, and even pulled my hood up at some points, my cheeks are a bit red and my eyes feel sunburnt as well. horray for light reflection off the water. (srsly i don't know how people who don't wear sunglasses do it) after that i walked back to the monterey aquarium since they have late hours now and it was so nice and empty compaired to when i'm usually there! i got some good pics of jelly fish <3! and some of the sea horses <3!! i need a new camera that has better zoom though~ today i've mostly slept and rested while surfing or watching anime. i was out around 13 hours yesterday and drove a total of 4 hours so i was quite beat when i got home! unfortunatly it hasn't been as restful as it could. i feel very wound up about work (not necessarily for any reason) and (updated) we just *narrowly* avoided going through a very bad public transporation strike that would have *crippled* the bay area. if they really have resolved it this is a HUGE weight off my shoulders! *keeps fingers crossed* ( pictures! ) Current Mood: complacent Current Music: music box melody from pandora hearts Tags: adventures 09, pics

10:04 pm i was going to have a nice lil post about my weekend... but nooo not now. now i rant about how much stupid community colleges SUCK D: i had *finally* worked myself up to signing up for class, even though i *loath* homework and all that jazz. and then what happens?!? i find out a) there were classes i hadn't seen since their freaking CONTENTS didn't list ALL of the pages that had 'photography' classes o.O b) the class i had chosen had TWO prereqs that were listed NO WHERE in the catalog, only saw as i was trying to sign up and c) to top it off the prereq which turns out is what i really wanted but didn't know they had since it WASN'T LISTED IN THE CONTENTS has no evening or weekend classes! they're all early in the day... WTF??? photography is *very* popular! why would you not have at least ONE evening class? well i guess their 6 pm is considered "evening" but i'm not even home from work by then and i know a lot of others aren't either. ROWR D: *growls and stomps around for a bit* ...and now back to your regularly scheduled neko post >.> i had delusions of grandure on friday night of what i wanted to do this last weekend. but for some reason i felt like a limp dish rag most of the weekend and did almost nothing D: but i did bike down to the bread workshop for foods and saw pondy <3 we hung out after her shift and she is trying to talk me into cosplaying gambit from wolverine origins >.o;;; other than that i accomplished getting a pedicure and that's about it >.>; dear body, plse to be having more energy this coming weekend. <3 me Current Mood: annoyed Tags: rowr

09:51 pm zomg skrit and i went to the garlic festival today and it was SOOOOOOOOOO HOT *_* we were both dying. i love the bay area *clings to it* so much cooler than inland or socal where i used to live. anyhoo we still had fun, ate lots of garlicy things (ice cream!) and i got a pretty pearl pendant ^^ also today the cable guy came to check our setup. we didn't get a new modem due to *uber* fail comcast but as he checks things turned out it was actually that our signal is way too low. so he fixed that and hopefully we won't have any more problems ^^ we also saw 'the ugly truth' yesterday. what a great film! funny, hilarious, and yet meaningful too. there are parts that just omg! hehe ;p then we had yummy lunch~ and got fancy cupcakes to eat later :d so delicious~ i'm not ready for my weekend to be over ;_; *clings to flist* Current Mood: tired Tags: adventures 09

10:25 pm woo~ busy week last week! my parents took a timeshare week in napa and they came down to visit on wednesday. i took the day off and we went to the de young museum to see the king tut exhibit. i made them take public transporation into sf and to the museum >3 we had fun~ the exhibit was very nice if greatly over priced D: i was not as impressed with the rest of that museum (but i didn't see too much of it, to be fair) also why is walking around a museum so damn *exhausting*?? thursday night i went straigt from work to see harry potter with skrit and tj ^_^ i don't remember the book that well so i'm not making compairisons, but i was a bit disappointed with how not moving certain scenes were. and that's all i'm saying ;p friday the parental units came to pick me up right after work and we drove back to napa. i stayed with them until sunday afternoon when they dropped me off at home on their way driving back to socal. we saw the petrified forest, the (california) old faithful geyser [not to be confused with it's larger counter part in yellowstone], walked around and ate in calastoga, and then went for an hour ride through yontville on segways! those srsly hurt my feet *whaaawhaa~* you have to have some damn good balance >.o we also took a nice bike ride along the river by their timeshare place. all in all a good, but VERY hot weekend. (i will never complain that it should be warmer in berkeley again o.<) and to top off all that fun! i went in to work today only to find out that my hard drive had gone bad on my work puter o.o! thankfully most of my stuff is on servers and they also managed to save everything anyway, but OOH i was sweatin bullets i tell you! nighty night lj land~ *squishies all around* ^_^ Current Mood: sleepy Tags: adventures 09

10:12 pm hokay~ so i don't remember last week.. probably something like busy/ not busy/ tired/ bored/ OMG busy - repeat every few hours ;p but saturday! i got my passport!! *dancedance~* i can finally leave the country! and that is my plan drnit D: some time in the next (birth) year i'm going to take a vacation off of the north america continent if it kills me ;p also on saturday skrit and i saw bruno. o.m.g. it's so funny yet wrong and bad and oh so funny ^^;; then on sunday we went to the fair~! and ate lots of delicious junk food :d (omg my face is so paying for it now D:) but still worth it >3 and tomorrow i have taken the day off work! my parental units are staying up in napa (about 45 mins away) for a week and they are comming here so we can travel forth into sf to the de young museum and the king tut exhibit ^_^ Current Mood: silly Tags: adventures 09

09:55 pm woo finally getting back into my spring cleaning now that it's summer >.> *ahem* anyway i boughted a new wire shelf/rack thing to replace my falling apart shoe rack that no longer hooked on the back of my door. ZOMG it makes me so happy. that corner looks so much better and now holds more stuff. i'll take pics of my room once i don't have stacks of things laying in piles >.> i also weeded through my manga and i'm going to be getting rid of some of it, partly just so i'll have more room and partly because i can't drop the kind of $$ on it that i used to ^^;; long series are long D: so this week i mangaed to get super last minute cheap ticket to see at home at the zoo. it was a very interesting play, though i don't feel like i understood the second act as well as i should have ^^;; but both acts were amazing and it was a good play (despite the minor prop malfunction that confused everyone by happing too early ^^;) also skrit and i saw night at the museum 2 and it was SO CUTE. so many funny and fun moments ^_^ [edit] oh yea, in SUPER FRUSTRAITING news, i cannot find fking messenger bags ANYWHERE. i'm getting so annoyed >.< i know i'm kind of picky about the size and inside and all, but no one has them in store right now and i'm not finding what i want online either D: [/rant] now i'm going to go back to watching princess tutu because it has totally sucked me in, much to my surprise o.o; Current Mood: accomplished Tags: adventures 09

10:41 pm another week flew by~ man i can't believe it's june already! yesterday skrit and i went to see the sf symphony~! i found this really great deal online for cheep tickets <3 neither of us liked the first half, it was a modern piece and very discordant and frenetic D: but the second half was schubert and it was lovely <3 ^_^ strings and wood winds are the way to go ^_~ also since it was the symphony i got to dress up and wear my cape <3 i love that thing. and of course being the attention whore that i am, i love the attention i get when i wear it ;p also this weekend i finshed my re-watch of kkm <3 although can you call it a rewatch if you had never seen all of it in the first place? ;p i love so many charactors in that show. my top faves are conrad and yozak ♥ (no i'm not spelling it with a J D:) i also spent a lot of time today napping and catching up on more current shows. i'm almost caught up \o/ oh and i've been using my new puter to watch persona on my lunch breaks at work >3 ..and i realized i never posted about my "review" at work. it was fine, i got some good compliments and was told to work on basically the same things she always says *twirls finger* she's still holding out that i'll accept becoming a supervisor, but it just won't happen. even if i had that desire to become one in me (which i DON'T) i would never accept that type of possition at this company. i've *seen* the way they treat people -_-; where i'm at is good enough for me for now as i work on figuring so many things out. also! happy official lgbt month! nighty night flist~ <3 Current Mood: wishing for a longer weekend Tags: adventures 09

09:52 pm erk so many things to post about, so little time. i spent most of this weekend sleeping and watching kkm to make up for the last two weekends of doin stuffs. i was soooo sleepy x.x i was half zombie anyway last week, and for the tmi just started that lovely time o the month. *zombie noises* all your snacks are beloning to me ;p in super happy news my new baby arrived last week >3 i loves it~ and named it cassie (i'll explain that later) it's a 10" netbook with 160 gig hard drive :d oh i loves the techology~ <3! and now i can watch anime on the bart or at lunch >3 and maybe i'll even find a free wifi place around me at lunch time some day ^^; tonight skrit and i wraped up watching 'here is greenwood' which she had never seen before. i will always love that show <3 shinobu <333 ^^ sleepies now~ *snuggles flist* <3 Current Mood: sleepy

09:36 pm wow what a long week! i'm so sad toorrow is already monday ;_; but thankfully it's only a 4 day week for me (took friday off for fanime <3) work was very exhuasting, but i feel like i really did a good job ^^ i feel like i'm starting to get the hang of how to keep up with everything and keep on top of pending items from other people. we'll see what my boss has to say on tuesday, we have a meeting that i think will be a review. wee fun ;p on wednesday skrits mom came in to town and we've all done lots of fun things together ^^ friday we had a nice diner and saw wolverine <3 saturday we went to the monterey aquarium and i got to see the new seahorse exhibit <3! today we went to muir woods and it was lovely ^^ the coastal redwoods are indeed impressive and it was a very nice (and tiring!) hike. so this weekend i got two new pins to add to my purse and to cross off muir woods of places i haven't been. of course i will be going back to explore other trails ^_^ pics will be forth comming... eventually >.> so another exciting week of work *twirls finger* and then three days of fanime! and then a day of lots and lots and lots of rest >.> Current Mood: sleepy Tags: adventures 09

09:46 pm so i am alive! er sorta >.> i totally ate too much and also drank too much water too fast so now i'm overly full and sloshy >.o d'oh! the alive part was questionable this past week however >.>;; last friday i flew home right after work to see my family and for my nieces first bday <3 i barely slept on friday night (hot uncomfy couch D:) and was up late saturday with no chance of sleeping in sunday. add to that it was hot and i was in the sun most of the day sunday plus i didn't get home until 11:30 pm sunday night..... i was a total *zombie* this week x.x i don't even remember most of this week except that i was busy and brain dead. but thursday night skrit and i went for a drink with her work buddies <3 and that was nice ^_^ and friday night skrit and i went to chevys cause damnit we wanted good food and margaritas ;p saturday i slept half the day and we saw star trek. zomg so awesome! today i attempted (and failed) at sleeping in so in retaliation i didn't move until noon ;p then i showered, got my car washed, threw laundry in the wash, got oil changed, threw laundry in the dryer, called home for moms day, folded clothes, went to target, got gas, and went to trader joes.... yea i was busy today ;p and i really really really wish tomorrow was not monday D: i want more sleeping in and being lazy plstnxbai! 10:05 pm so after that squee a month ago about bying a 1tb hard drive i just today finally took it out of it's packaging and fired it up >.>; running well though. moved some stuff off the compy and backed up my photos <3 another fun filled week this week~ thursday went out with skrit and her coworkers and that was lots of fun ^^ had 1 too many drinks and that was NOT fun the next morning D: i'm sticking with my 2 drink max rule from now on >.< my poor tummy was so very unhappy with me friday morning *emo tear* yesterday skrit and i had a mini file swapping (swile fapping! :p) party and then starting watching random youtube vids <3 we went to ihop and had super tasty dinner *nomnom* then came home and watched more vids ^^ today i went to my very first drag show! one of skrits coworkers works behind the scenes for the show and got us in for free. it was a super yummy buffet and a fantastic show! called something like "sunday's a drag" and i tell you one of those girls was WAY too pretty *jealous* ;p this is going to be a tiring week, i already know. friday after work i fly back to socal to visit the 'rents and for my niece's first bday. won't get home until late sunday night. will be so tired >.o i have to admit though my reason for going was slightly influenced by the fact that the ren fair is going on, but i don't think anyone wants to go ;_; Current Mood: calm Tags: adventures 09

10:31 pm so long norton, i won't miss you! i have uninstalled the hunk o junk known as norton anti virus and i felt happier the second i clicked 'yes' ;p i installed pc tools at the recomendation of skrit and in it's first system scan it found 3 trojans that norton never did -_- so baibai norton, don't let the door hit ya on the ass on the way out ;p in other news i started my spring cleaning today~ exhausting but oh so rewarding ^^ it's gonna take a long time but i'm determind *firm nod* :p and other other news~ i bought a time management book today, figured it was time to stop whining about it and start trying to do some thing ^^; the first line of the book is something like "a person complaining about lack of time is like a small fish in the giant ocean complaining about no water" ehehehe >.>; and now here is what i'm watching so far this season. tell me which group(s) y'all are getting them from? 09:31 pm you know that saying becareful what you wish for? d'oh >.o i wanted it to be warm but jumping from high 50s to mid 80s was more than i wanted o.< another super busy week flew by~! thursday i went out for drinks with skrit and 3 of her work buddies and that was super fun ^_^ we had a really good time and some damn good food at a local place called jupiter. and then friday my lovely chelle~ turned up ^^ she had an interview early saturday morning so she crashed here all weekend. thankfully the interview didn't take long and when she came back we went off to japantown~ it was the second weekend of the cherry blossom festival so i got to show her around more than just the mall! ^^ and i took her to lunch at the yummy japanese bbq place that skrit and i found before. that night i introduced her to yami no matsui and she powered through all four disks (i may or may not have accidentally napped through some of it >.>;) and then after we all slept in this morning she had to head home ;_; today i spent sweating watching anime and finishing catching up on a new webcomic that someone got me started on >.o it's called freakangels and it's pretty good ^_^ but i so don't need more comics >.< i also watched the life of brian with skrit. zomg i will always love monty python <3<3<3 this week i also spent a lot of time finally organizing some random boxes i had laying around my room and it feels so nice to have organized and cleaned~ now i just have to tackle the hardest part... the manga and cd shelves of DOOM *hides* Current Mood: hot Tags: adventures 09

09:56 pm been very very absent this week. i was consumed on catching up with the scanlations of tsubasa and holic <3 i could no longer wait for the american releases. you'd better end this well clamp D: yesterday was supposed to be cleaning day but instead it was sleep and watch anime all day day >.> 14 new shows this season and counting >.o i'll put a list up eventually of what i'm watching.. new things still coming out >.< today skrit and i went to japantown and they were having the cherry blossom festival ^_^ it was very fun to wander around the booths and snack on yummy things. and then skrit failed her job of keeping me away from the bonsai and encouraged me to buy one... and i did ^^ pics of it eventually and i have to pick a name~ it's a japanese maple ^^ walking back to the bart with it people kept eyeing it and at least one person asked if it was a pot plant -_-; here have some random easter ahaha ^^ Current Mood: sleepy Tags: adventures 09
